Here are a couple of great gift idea’s that we don’t think too much about but most of us buy, and a great way to turn our loved ones on to alternative idea’s with out all of the chemicals we are so used to buying. On reading this post from Herbs and Wildcrafting I thought what an unusual and awesome idea. These are things that would definitely be used and could potentially change someones life (for the better).
My dog Strawberry has very sensitive skin, she has food allergies so when she is not itching it is a good thing. This shampoo not only soothes her skin it also helps heal it when she has gotten into something she shouldn’t have.
Soothing Skin Shampoo
3 oz. Castile Soap
2 oz. Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
1 oz. Vegetable Glycerin
2 oz. Water
3 drops Lavender
3 drops Roman Chamomile
3 drops Myrrh
Optional: add 1 tsp. ground oatmeal

Crumple some aluminum foil into a ball and toss it in the dryer with the wet laundry to get rid of static cling.
Here are three essential oil Recipes for cleaning the house:
- Add 12 drops of any citrus essential oil,
- 4 tablespoons white vinegar
- And water in a 16–20 ounce spray bottle.
- Add 10 drops of Melaleuca/Tea Tree essential oil
- ¼ cup Castile soap
- ¼ cup of Baking soda to a bucket of water
- Mix and mop
- Mix 1 cup water
- 1 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle
- Add 15 drops of Lemon essential oil to the bottle.
Make your own toothpaste.
Mix ½ coconut oil and ½ baking soda in a glass jar and dab a little of the mix on your toothbrush. For extra freshness, you can add one drop of Peppermint and one drop of Melaleuca/Tea Tree∗ essential oil to 1 oz of the coconut oil and baking soda mix.
